A thing we don't talk about enough, but should do is client retention - sounds unsexy but it's vital and it is SO much more important than we realise.
I was chatting to my own Coach about it this week and we both believe retaining your clients just isn't talked about enough, and why it should be.
Just think how damn EASY it is to refresh an existing client's contract and smoothly continue on going down the beautiful path that's already well trodden and a path both of you know like the back of your hand, versus going out into the world again, searching for a brand new client?

🤷🏻♀️ Get back on Instagram, take a deep breath and chat through your offers on stories, lives, scratch your arse trying to create new Reels..
🤷🏻♀️ Maybe you're putting in your diary things like 'engage in 3 Facebook groups today' for networking?
🤷🏻♀️ Perhaps you're dusting off your Linkedin account with a big sigh and staring at it wondering where the good clients are and what you can write to entice them your way?
Then that's just the first part, after that you've got to spend time qualifying those potential leads and hopefully jump on a bunch of disco calls.

All while still running your business, serving your wonderful humans and current clients and showing up for your own personal life.
Here's the bit that blows my mind - it costs 7x times more to find a new client, than to retain an old one. SEVEN times MORE. Whoa 🤯
AND, your hit rate when marketing to an EXISTING customer is like 60-70%.
So for perspective, that client who's coming to the end of their contract, service or offer with you, you know the one where you're having a case of self doubt every time you think about asking them if they'd like to renew? Yes, that client is 60-70% likely to say yes to staying with you

Without clients, none of us would have a business right? I know for me, my agency clients and my Coachees are the heart of the business and I take SO much pride in them every day and that's why the renewals keep happening.
So go ahead, mark those diaries with renewal conversations that you know you should be booking in (self doubt can get in the bin, you've got this!)
📆 Book them for around 30 days before the end of whatever you're working on with them. Sometimes you'll find the eager beavers even beat you to it.
In the past I've had clients say to me that because I didn't ask if they wanted to renew until the last minute, that they didn't know if I wanted to continue working with them, and they were relieved when I said I did!
Can you imagine? What if this is how your clients might be feeling?
