Streamlining Success with Systems, Automations and Adventures with OBM Turned Operations Expert Harriet Evans
I’m chatting with my former Coaching client and Systems & Operations expert Harriet Evans and we discuss her journey from VA to OBM, to Dubsado & Click Up expert, to how she’s building out her agency.
If you want to hear how Harriet went from VA to OBM in under 12 weeks, go back and listen to Ep9 here
We get to talking about how systems should be something we all have in our business, to better serve our clients and how they allow us to take time off.
I ask her whether automations cancel out the need for a business owner to hire a VA and we discuss whether its the days of the generalist OBM over? Are systems and specialists in?
We are discussing how the OBM role can be a tricky one, mostly because there’s no single definition of what it is or does for clients, it varies from service provider to service provider.
It’s sometimes a title that a project manager or operations manager adopts. It’s also very much a secondary title when someone calls themselves and OBM, but specialises in Dubsado set ups.
Harriet shares why she’s now shifting away from retainers and fully into only system set ups for clients and we talk about how coaching got her to this point too.
She dives into the kind of systems we should all have, how she serves her clients and why she adores automations so much.
Harriet also shares how she’s creating a systems agency now, and how she’s working to create systems she implement on repeat for clients, and create repeatable methods, so she can begin to step back from the delivery or service more and focus on scaling the agency and spending creating a full life outside of her business.
